Dear Friends,

The time has come for us to move our weekly Sunday church service down to the Parish House as the renovations inside the church will shortly begin.  These renovations are required to take place and be completed in time for the delivery of our new Schoenstein organ, which is scheduled for November 2019.  Our last Sunday in the church prior to the work will be this coming Sunday, July 21st.  Please join us as we bid farewell to the organ!

As part of this transition to services in the Parish House, the Altar Guild is seeking donations of linens for use on the temporary altar.  The Guild is seeking rectangular linen tablecloths of any size and linen napkins of any size as long as they are white. Donations can be left at the Parish House.  If you are able to donate, please notify Rhonda Donohue by email, text or phone: Rhondadonohue@icloud.com.  Cell: 845-489-6386.  Home: 845-831-5331. A message is perfect.

Please look for a comprehensive update regarding the Creating the Future Initiative to be emailed out to you later this week.  Copies of this update will also be available in the vestibule on Sunday morning.

This is such an important time in the history of St. Philip’s.  We are balancing the preservation of our past with the preparation for future generations who will sit in the pews.  Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support as we work together to accomplish this transition faithfully, creatively, and joyfully.

With God’s Blessings,
Terri Akbas
Senior Warden
